Story

Dulhe Raja is a 1998 Indian comedy movie starring Govinda, Raveena Tandon, Kader Khan and Johnny Lever. Raja (Govinda), a poor but sharp-witted young man, arrives in Mumbai to make his fortune. He meets the wealthy Jhamb family, who are looking to build a five-star hotel on the land adjacent to their ancestral home. Raja cons them into believing that he is an affluent businessman and enters into a partnership with them for the hotel project. Meanwhile, his cousin, Payal (Raveena Tandon) falls in love with him. Raja's ruse is discovered by Jhamb's son, Karan (Ashok Saraf), who plans to get revenge on him. In order to protect the Jhambs' family honor, Raja agrees to marry Payal, but Karan has other plans. He sets up a series of traps to discredit Raja and thwart his plan to construct the hotel. However, Raja manages to outwit Karan and succeeds in completing the hotel, thus proving himself worthy of Payal's love. The movie ends with the happy couple getting married and the Jhamb family...
