Draupadi 1931

Draupadi is a 1931 Indian silent film based on the Hindu epic Mahabharata. It tells the story of Draupadi, daughter of King Drupada, and her eventual marriage to the five Pandava brothers, each of whom she marries successively in a single ceremony. Draupadi faces many obstacles in her life, including being used as a political pawn by her father and being mistreated by her husbands' mother. Despite this, she remains strong and eventually wins back the kingdom and wealth that had been stolen from her family. Through her courage and strength, Draupadi is ultimately able to bring harmony and peace to her family and kingdom. The film ends with Draupadi's eventual ascension to heaven, a reward for her faithfulness and resilience throughout her struggles.
