Story

Disco Dancer is a classic Bollywood musical movie starring Mithun Chakraborty, Kim Yashpal and Om Puri. The film tells the story of an impoverished street dancer, Jimmy (Mithun Chakraborty), who battles poverty and social injustice to become a successful pop star. After his mother's death, Jimmy takes up a job in a troupe owned by Dhanraj (Om Puri). Through hard work and determination, Jimmy manages to become a successful dancer and singer. His success attracts the attention of popular producer, JB (Shakti Kapoor) who decides to make him a star. Unfortunately, JB has plans to exploit Jimmy for his own gain. To make matters worse, Jimmy is framed for a crime he did not commit and sent to prison. While in prison, Jimmy meets Ravi (Kiran Kumar) who teaches him how to fight against injustice. With the help of Ravi, Jimmy finds strength within himself to take on JB and win. In the end, Jimmy is able to bring justice to his mother’s name and reclaim his place as a successful pop star.
