Dil Se.. 1998

Dil Se.. is the story of Amar Varma, a news anchor who travels to Assam in search of a mysterious female voice responsible for an insurgent radio broadcast. As he uncovers the truth, he finds himself drawn to the woman behind the voice, Meghna. Through their encounters, Amar learns that she is part of a rebel group fighting for independence. Despite his objections, Meghna and her rebel group plan a terrorist attack against the Indian government. In the end, Amar chooses to help her with the attack, although he is killed in the process. Meghna is later arrested for her role in the attack. The movie paints a picture of love and loyalty transcending social boundaries. It also highlights how people can be driven by their beliefs to take drastic measures.
