Story

Dil Hai Tumhaara is an Indian romantic drama about two estranged sisters, Shalu (Preity Zinta) and Nimmi (Mahima Chaudhry), who are reunited after their parents divorce. Shalu is a responsible and mature young woman while Nimmi is headstrong and rebellious. When their father dies, the girls are sent to stay with their grandmother in Mumbai. Nimmi takes on menial jobs to support herself while Shalu gets a job as a receptionist for a big business tycoon, Viren Sahai (Arjun Rampal). Viren is initially dismissive of Shalu but gradually develops feelings for her. Meanwhile, Nimmi falls in love with Sameer (Jimmy Sheirgill), who is from a lower-class family. The sisters eventually reunite and support each other through their various struggles. Despite the disapproval of their families, they succeed in finding happiness and gain acceptance from those around them. In the end, their family and friends come together to celebrate the reunion of the two sisters.
