Deep in a mountainous castle, Gru's old school, Lycée Pas Bon, throws a party. The villain Maxime Le Mal, sporting creepy bug parts, wins the "Best Alumni" award. Luckily, Gru and his AVL crew crash the ceremony and capture him. However, Maxime escapes prison with his villainous girlfriend Valentina and their army of creepy crawlies. However, a hidden tracker in Lenny's collar alerts Maxime to Gru's location. Maxime swoops in, kidnapping Gru Jr. with his creepy flying cockroach ship! Thankfully, Gru, with Poppy's help, manages to save his son in a thrilling finale.
