Darlings 2022

Darlin' is a 2019 horror film directed by Pollyanna MacIntosh. It follows the story of a young feral girl who is taken in by a Catholic hospital to be 'civilised'. The hospital's head priest, Father Murphy (Bryan Batt), takes her under his wing, and with the help of his assistant, Sister Jane (Lauryn Canny), he attempts to reform her. However, the girl is not what she seems, as her presence at the hospital brings forth a horde of supernatural events. As fear spreads throughout the hospital, it is revealed that the girl is actually a wild creature from an ancient Celtic myth, and she is being pursued by a mysterious hunter. With the help of Sister Jane, Father Murphy must face the dark forces surrounding the girl and protect her from those seeking to harm her. In the end, the girl is reunited with her family, but not before facing countless obstacles and horrors.
