Daaku Aur Jawan 1978

Daaku Aur Jawan tells the story of a boy, Jani, who is born to a poor couple in a village. He grows up to become a dacoit, but also a Robin-Hood like figure to the villagers, helping them out of difficult situations and taking care of their needs. One day, he meets a girl, Champa, and falls in love with her. However, his past comes back to haunt him when the police catch him and take him to jail. Champa, along with Jani's family and friends, come together and fight for his freedom. In the end, Jani is acquitted and the two lovers are reunited and live happily ever after. The film shows how society can be unfair to those from humble beginnings, but also how true love conquers all obstacles.
