Story

Daag is an Indian drama film released in 1999. It tells the story of two best friends, Vijay and Ajay. Vijay is a loyal and honest police officer while Ajay is a criminal mastermind who makes money through illegal activities. When they meet up after a long time, they discover that their lives have taken different paths. Ajay is now married to Pooja, who is the daughter of a wealthy businessman, and he is trying to live a peaceful life. However, his past catches up with him when the police find out about his illegal activities and arrest him. Vijay is tasked with bringing Ajay to justice but finds himself torn between his duty as an officer and his loyalty to his friend. Despite this, he finally decides to do what is right and puts Ajay behind bars. In the end, Ajay is released from jail and reconciles with Vijay, understanding his decision. The movie ends with both friends united and renewed in their friendship.
