Cheeni Kum 2007

Cheeni Kum is a romantic comedy about the unlikely relationship between 64-year-old Buddhadev Gupta (Amitabh Bachchan) and 34-year-old Nina Verma (Tabu). Buddhadev is a successful, old-school chef from India who runs a popular restaurant in London. Nina is an independent, modern woman from London. Despite their age difference and vastly different backgrounds, they develop feelings for each other. After initial reluctance, Buddhadev eventually agrees to marry Nina. However, the marriage is strained by cultural differences, including Nina's dislike of Buddhadev's traditionalist ways. Eventually, Buddhadev and Nina reconcile and accept each other for who they are. Cheeni Kum is a story of acceptance, showing how two people from very different backgrounds can still find common ground and love each other.
