Story

Chandni Chowk is a 1954 Hindi film directed by B.R. Chopra and starring Meena Kumari, Prem Nath, and Sohrab Modi. The story revolves around the love triangle between Chandni, her lover Raja, and her suitor Raja Bahadur Singh. Chandni is an orphan who was adopted by a wealthy Sikh couple in Chandni Chowk, Old Delhi. She falls in love with Raja, but is betrothed to Raja Bahadur Singh, a self-centered and arrogant man who is determined to marry her against her wishes. In order to win back her love, Raja Bahadur Singh plots to have Raja falsely accused of theft. However, when the truth is revealed, Chandni reunites with Raja, and they are married in a traditional ceremony. The film ends happily with the two lovers living happily ever after.
