Story

Bubble Gum is a South Korean romantic-comedy film that follows the story of two high schoolers, Hae-won and Hyun-ki. After a failed attempt to pass his college entrance exams, Hyun-ki takes a job at a convenience store where he meets Hae-won. The two become close friends and soon develop feelings for each other. However, their parents forbid them from dating due to their age difference. In an effort to gain their parents’ approval, Hae-won and Hyun-ki concoct a plan to get married when they turn 18. Despite their determination to make it work, they must face obstacles such as their parents’ disapproval and society's judgement. Ultimately, the couple must decide if their love is strong enough to overcome these obstacles. Bubble Gum is a heartwarming story about young love and the struggles of growing up.
