Boy Friend is a 1961 musical comedy film about a young woman named Polly Browne who dreams of becoming a dancer. She is determined to make it in the world of show business despite her working-class background. With the help of her friends, she gets an audition at the Grand Ballroom as a chorus girl. Unfortunately, when she arrives, she finds out that the job has already been filled. Desperate for work, Polly takes a job as a dance instructor at Madame Dubonnet's Finishing School, where she meets a young man named Tony. They instantly take a liking to each other and become partners on the dance floor. As they become closer, they start to fall in love. However, Tony is the son of a wealthy family and his parents disapprove of their relationship. They must fight for their love if they are to be together. Ultimately, Polly and Tony find a way to stay together and pursue their dreams.
