Story

The scorching New Mexico desert becomes a graveyard under a new name - Boneyard - when the skeletal remains of eleven women are unearthed. Police Chief Carter, a man hardened by the streets, is called to the scene. But this case is bigger than anything he's faced. Enter the gruff FBI Agent Petrovick, a legend with a troubled past. Together, they clash with Carter's sharp detective, Ortega, as their methods and egos collide. As they dig deeper, a tangled web of secrets unravels, pointing to a ruthless killer. But with each dead end, the killer is one step ahead, leaving the team questioning everyone - including themselves. In a race against time, they must overcome their differences and confront a darkness so deep, it threatens to bury them all.

The Movie Report

The Boneyard movie is losely based on the real life murders of numerous women whose remains were found buried several years after the crimes took place.

The West Mesa Murders sent shockwaves through Albuquerque, New Mexico in 2009. It all began with a seemingly ordinary discovery – a dog walker finding a human bone on the vast, desert mesa on the city's west side. This grisly find unraveled into a horrifying truth. Authorities unearthed the remains of eleven women and a young girl, all buried in shallow graves. The victims, ranging in age from 15 to 32, shared a common thread – most were involved in drugs and prostitution. Despite extensive efforts, the case remains unsolved. Several suspects emerged, but no arrests were ever made. Theories swirled, with some suggesting the involvement of a single killer, while others pointed towards a potential sex trafficking ring.
