Story

Black is a 2005 Indian drama film written and directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The film follows the story of a deaf-blind girl, Michelle McNally (played by Rani Mukerji) and her relationship with her teacher Debraj Sahai (played by Amitabh Bachchan). Michelle is a deaf-blind girl who has spent her life in darkness. After being rejected by her family, she is taken in by Debraj, an elderly man who decides to take the challenge of educating her. With perseverance and patience, Debraj struggles to help Michelle find her own way in the world. He introduces her to music, teaches her sign language, and encourages her to explore her talents. As Michelle's progress continues, Debraj discovers that he can no longer ignore his old age and deteriorating health. Despite this, Michelle and Debraj continue to develop their relationship, ultimately leading to a strong bond between them.
