Bhumika 1977

Bhumika is a 1977 Hindi-language movie based on the life of Marathi stage and screen actor, Usha Chavan. The film follows her journey from a small village in India to her rise as a famous actress in Mumbai. She has to face many obstacles along the way, including her traditional family's disapproval of her career and her struggles with alcoholism and depression. Despite these challenges, she finds success and happiness in her new life. Though she marries a successful director, their marriage falters as she is unable to cope with the demands of being a wife and mother in addition to her career. Ultimately, Usha finds inner peace and acceptance after reconciling with her family and coming to terms with her past.
