Bhuj: The Pride of India is an action-adventure film directed by Abhishek Dudhaiya, set in 1971. The movie follows Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik, who is appointed as the officer in charge of the Bhuj airbase in Gujarat. When the Pakistani army attacks India, Karnik and his team of 300 local women are sent to repair a destroyed airstrip so that Indian fighter jets can take off from there. Karnik and his team successfully manage to rebuild the airstrip in just three days, thus making it possible for Indian fighter jets to take off and fight against the Pakistani army. In the battle that ensues, India defeats Pakistan due to Karnik’s efforts. This victory is seen as a symbol of national pride and patriotism. The movie celebrates the courage and resilience of the people of India and showcases their strength and determination in the face of adversity.
