Bhabhi is a 1957 Hindi film about the story of a young woman named Gauri (Nutan), who moves to a new town with her father. She quickly befriends her neighbor, Thakur Saab (Pradeep Kumar), and they soon fall in love. However, Thakur's family disapproves of their relationship and they are forced to separate. Gauri then finds herself in an arranged marriage with a wealthy man, but she never forgets her true love. When Thakur returns, he discovers that Gauri is now married and must deal with his feelings of heartbreak. Despite being unable to be together, Gauri and Thakur still remain devoted to each other and refuse to give up hope for a future together. In the end, after much turmoil, their love triumphs and they are finally able to reunite and live happily ever after.
