Story

Beti is a 1969 Indian drama film that stars Sanjeev Kumar, Nanda, Shatrughan Sinha and Aruna Irani. The movie follows the story of an orphaned young girl named Beti, who has been adopted by the wealthy Thakur. Despite her adoptive father's love and protection, Beti suffers from a lack of acceptance in her new home due to her darker skin complexion. When a neighbouring village leader attempts to take advantage of her vulnerability, Beti is saved by a brave soldier named Jai, who is determined to ensure her safety. With Jai's help, Beti is able to regain her lost confidence as well as her place in the Thakur's family. In the end, the Thakur accepts Beti as his daughter and Jai as his son-in-law. The movie ultimately celebrates the power of love and courage to overcome prejudice and adversity.
