Being Cyrus 2005

Being Cyrus is a 2006 psychological thriller about the Sethna family, who live in Panchgani, India. The family consists of Dinshaw and Farrokh Sethna, their son Farokh, and Dinshaw's widowed sister-in-law, Tina. One day, the mysterious Cyrus Mistry appears on the doorstep of the Sethnas and is welcomed by them into their home. He quickly becomes a part of the family, helping with menial tasks around the house while also engaging in meaningful conversations with each of the family members. However, as time passes, it becomes increasingly apparent that there are ulterior motives behind Cyrus' seemingly friendly behavior. His strange behavior and proclivity for manipulating people slowly reveals him to be a master manipulator, who uses his charm and psychology to manipulate the Sethnas into doing his bidding. In the end, he succeeds in turning the family against each other, pushing them to the brink of destruction. As the story comes to a close, the audience is left wondering if anyone will ever discover the truth behind Cyrus' actions.
