Begunah 1957

Begunah is a 1957 Indian drama film directed by Nanubhai Vakil. The story revolves around the life of a young man, Rajan (Vikram Kapoor), who is desperately looking for a job. He meets a beautiful woman, Sharda (Nalini Jaywant), and falls in love with her. Unfortunately, Sharda's father disapproves of their relationship and arranges her marriage to another man. Rajan is heartbroken and decides to leave the city. On his journey he meets an old man, Babuji (Hari Shivdasani), who takes him under his wing and helps him rediscover himself. With Babuji's guidance, Rajan begins to find his place in life and eventually reclaims his love. The film ends with Rajan and Sharda happily married and living together. In the end, Babuji’s wisdom prevails as he teaches Rajan and Sharda the importance of never giving up on love and finding happiness in life.
