Basti 2003

Basti is a 2003 Pakistani drama film directed by Shoaib Mansoor. The story revolves around the life of two young men, Sikander and Basti, who have grown up together in a small town in rural Pakistan. Sikander is an idealistic and ambitious student who dreams of a better future for himself and his family. On the other hand, Basti is a free-spirited and carefree individual who is content with the life he has been given. As the two grow older, their paths diverge - Sikander attempts to make something of himself, while Basti remains in his small town and struggles to make ends meet. When tragedy strikes, Sikander returns home to take care of his friend and help him find his way back to a better life. In the end, they both realize that despite their differences, they are united by their shared past and friendship.
