Barsaat Ki Ek Raat is a 1981 Hindi language romantic drama film directed by Shakti Samanta and starring Amitabh Bachchan, Rakhee Gulzar, Amjad Khan and the late Utpal Dutt. The story follows an idealistic young man, Rajesh (Amitabh Bachchan), who falls in love with a beautiful girl named Sunita (Rakhee Gulzar). Sunita's father, the zamindar (Utpal Dutt) refuses to accept Rajesh as his daughter's suitor. Rajesh then embarks on an arduous journey to prove himself worthy of Sunita's hand in marriage. On his way, he encounters various obstacles, including a criminal gang led by Amjad Khan. After numerous hardships and dangers, Rajesh is finally able to win over Sunita's father and marry her. The movie ends with a happy ending as Rajesh and Sunita walk away together, arm in arm.
