Story

Barfi! is a romantic comedy-drama film directed by Anurag Basu. It follows the story of Murphy "Barfi" Johnson (Ranbir Kapoor), a mute and deaf man living in Darjeeling, and his relationships with two women, Shruti (Ileana D'Cruz) and Jhilmil (Priyanka Chopra). Barfi is an extraordinary character who goes out of his way to make others happy. He falls in love with Shruti, a girl he meets at a party. Despite her parents disapproval, they continue their relationship, until Shruti is forced to marry another man. Barfi then befriends Jhilmil, a young autistic woman, and develops a strong connection with her. When Shruti reappears in Barfi's life, she discovers that he is in love with Jhilmil, and has to choose between them. In the end, it is her love for Barfi that makes her accept the relationship with Jhilmil. The movie ends on a happy note as Barfi and Jhilmil live happily ever after. Barfi! is a heart warming tale of love, hope and friendship,
