Story

Armaan is a 1953 Indian Hindi drama film directed by Raj Kapoor. It stars Dev Anand in the lead role, and features Nimmi and Kuldip Kaur in supporting roles. The story revolves around Armaan (Dev Anand), an impoverished orphan who dreams of becoming a singer. He meets the beautiful Radha (Nimmi) and the two fall in love. However, Radha's aunt (Kuldip Kaur) disapproves of their relationship and forces Radha to marry someone else. Heartbroken, Armaan takes up a job in a factory, where he finds success. Despite his newfound wealth, he is unable to forget Radha, and eventually they reunite. With the help of Radha's uncle, Armaan and Radha are reunited and finally get married. In the end, Armaan fulfills his dream of becoming a successful singer.
