ANNA 2016

Anna is a 2016 action thriller starring Sasha Luss as the titular character. Anna is a former orphan turned highly trained assassin for a Russian government agency. After completing her last mission, she attempts to break away from the agency and start a new life. Along the way, she is pursued by her former handler Alex (Luke Evans) and meets two allies in the form of a French art dealer (Cillian Murphy) and a CIA agent (Helen Mirren). Anna must outwit the agency and her former handler if she is to have any chance of a normal life. In an act of self-preservation, she uses her skills and resources to gain leverage against them. She eventually succeeds in escaping with her newfound allies and begins a new life of freedom. In the end, Anna proves that no one can define her but herself.
