Angry Indian Goddesses 2015

Angry Indian Goddesses is a 2015 Indian drama film about seven friends who reunite for a beach vacation. During the trip, they discover their fears and aspirations, and learn to embrace their true selves. The movie follows the story of Freida, an independent photographer living in Delhi who is invited by her friend, Pam, to her Goa home for a pre-wedding celebration. Along with five other girlfriends, they discover newfound strength, courage, and freedom as they confront issues of sexism and patriarchy. As the women explore their gender roles in Indian society, they also come to terms with their own individual struggles. Ultimately, they find solace and solidarity in each other’s stories and celebrate the power of friendship.
