Angaray 1954

Angarey is a 1954 Indian drama film written and directed by Pinaki Mukherjee. It stars Madhubala, Abhi Bhattacharya and Pran in lead roles. The movie is a story of two brothers – Raju (Abhi Bhattacharya) and Jagat (Pran). While Raju is a responsible and hardworking man, Jagat is a reckless and irresponsible person who does not care about anything but his own pleasure. Raju loves a young girl named Sheela (Madhubala) and wants to marry her. However, Jagat is against the relationship as he believes that Sheela is not suitable for him. In order to stop Raju from marrying Sheela, Jagat plots to make Sheela fall for him. He succeeds and Sheela accepts his proposal without knowing his true intentions. When Raju finds out about this, he gets furious and decides to leave home and never look back. In the end, Sheela uncovers the truth and realises her mistake and asks Raju to forgive her. After much thought, Raju forgives her and the two get married.
