Andaaz 2003

Andaaz is a 2003 Indian romantic drama film starring Akshay Kumar, Priyanka Chopra and Lara Dutta. The film tells the story of Raj Malhotra, who meets and falls in love with a woman called Jiya while on vacation in Europe. When he returns to India, he discovers that his parents have already arranged for him to marry another girl, Kajal. Raj must choose between his feelings for Jiya or his parents’ wishes. He decides to follow his heart and try to win Jiya’s love, while Kajal supports him in his quest. Eventually, Jiya reciprocates his love and they get married. However, their happiness is short lived when Jiya is diagnosed with a terminal illness. Despite this, they remain together until her death, showing that true love is unconditional. Ultimately, Andaaz is about making decisions based on one’s own heart, rather than society’s expectations.
