Amar Prem 1972

Amar Prem is a classic love story between a poor young man, Pushpa and a rich widow, Anandibai. Pushpa is an orphaned street beggar who has been taken in by the elderly widow Anandibai. She loves him like her own son and wants to find him a suitable wife. Meanwhile, they fall in love with each other, much to the chagrin of Anandibai's family. When she discovers their forbidden relationship, she forbids them from ever seeing each other again. Despite the separation, Pushpa never gives up on his love for her. In the end, after much heartache, Pushpa is able to convince Anandibai to accept their love and they are finally reunited. The story highlights the power of true love, and the strength of the bond between a mother and her child.
