Story

Amar Deep is a 1979 Hindi drama film directed by C. V. Sridhar. It stars Rajesh Khanna, Hema Malini and Vinod Mehra in the lead roles. The story revolves around Amar (Rajesh Khanna), a young man who falls in love with his beautiful neighbor, Radha (Hema Malini). When their families oppose the relationship, Amar moves to Mumbai to make a living. After several years of hard work, he returns home as a successful businessman and marries Radha. However, tragedy strikes when Amar is falsely accused of murder and sent to jail. Though innocent, Amar has to spend three years in prison before being acquitted of all charges. Despite the hardships they faced, Amar and Radha remain devoted to each other and eventually find happiness.
