Al Hilal 1935

Al Hilal is a 2019 Egyptian drama film directed by Ayyad Hossam. The story follows the life of an impoverished family in Cairo who are struggling to make ends meet. The father, Ahmed, is forced to take a job as a driver for a wealthy man, Mr. Radwan, in order to provide for his family. However, his daughter, Aya, disapproves of her father's job, believing that it is beneath their dignity and simply a way to survive rather than thrive. Despite this, Ahmed continues to work for Mr. Radwan, until one day he discovers a secret that could have major consequences if revealed. Ahmed must decide whether to stay loyal to his employer or to do what is right for his family. In the end, the family comes together to make a difficult but necessary decision. Through their journey, they demonstrate that love and loyalty can conquer any obstacle.
