Story

Ahankaar is a 1995 Indian Hindi-language drama film directed by Sikander Bharti. It stars Mithun Chakraborty, Shilpa Shirodkar, Mohnish Bahl and Raghuvaran in pivotal roles. The story focuses on a young man named Ram (Mithun Chakraborty) who is bold and courageous with strong self-esteem. His Uncle (Raghuvaran) is an influential politician who notices his nephew's potential and decides to make him the leader of his party. Ram is soon embroiled in a power struggle between his uncle and a rival politician. Despite his uncle's warnings, Ram takes a stand for what he believes in and stands up against his rival, eventually emerging victorious. He is then appointed as the minister of the state. Ram's newfound power fuels his ego and leads him to compromise with his morals. He slowly becomes arrogant and starts to abuse his power. He disregards the needs of his people and instead pursues his own selfish interests. In the end, however, Ram realizes his mistakes and makes amends. He apologiz...
